KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) through the MPKS LA Serve Team has conducted a Cleaning Operation for abandoned and damaged hawker stall structures in the Taman Desa Ilmu area, here, on Wednesday.

The operation was carried out as a proactive measure by the council to ensure that the cleanliness of the public environment, the beauty of the landscape as well as the level of safety and comfort of local residents are always maintained.

According to the MPKS, this cleaning operation involves stall structures that are no longer in use, dilapidated or abandoned for a long time, which has the potential to affect the image of the area, invite safety risks and become a source of environmental pollution.

“All structures and goods seized during this operation will be disposed of according to the established procedures, in line with the regulations and guidelines of the local authorities,” explained a statement from the MPKS.

Meanwhile, the council also called on traders to always maintain the cleanliness of business areas, take advantage of business opportunities provided responsibly, and comply with the standards for preparing safe, clean and quality food.

MPKS emphasises that the cooperation of all parties is key in efforts to create a clean, cheerful and safe urban environment, thus improving the well-being of the local community. -UKASnews
