Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Receives Courtesy Call From Health Minister
KUCHING: The Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, received a courtesy call from the Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad, at the official residence here on Friday.
The purpose of the visit was to provide the latest updates on key initiatives by the Ministry of Health (MOH), particularly regarding efforts to bolster the development and empowerment of the healthcare system in Sarawak.
During the hour-long meeting, both parties exchanged views on various matters concerning the health sector.
This included the necessity of strengthening medical infrastructure and enhancing strategic cooperation between the Federal Government and the Sarawak Government.
Discussions also touched upon ongoing efforts to improve the delivery of healthcare services to the public, specifically through the upgrading of existing facilities and expanding access to health services in rural and remote areas.
Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the importance of adopting new technologies and approaches within the healthcare system to increase management efficiency and the quality of treatment.
