PIBU Beluru Launched To Boost Rural Entrepreneurship
BELURU: The Entrepreneurship Incubation Centre (PIBU) Beluru has been officially launched as part of the Sarawak Government’s continued efforts to strengthen the rural socio-economic development agenda and expand the local entrepreneurial support ecosystem.
The launch of PIBU Beluru, marking the 25th centre established statewide, was officiated by Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil here on Monday, alongside the launch of the Quality and Competitive Contractor and Entrepreneur Development Course.
According to the Marudi Assemblyman, the establishment of PIBU Beluru is a strategic and significant step in empowering rural communities, especially to develop the entrepreneurial potential of the local community in a more structured and sustainable manner.
“PIBU Beluru will act as an entrepreneurship support centre by providing business registration addresses, advisory services and guidance, in addition to functioning as a networking hub that connects local entrepreneurs with government agencies and the private sector.
“The initiative also aims to ensure that more rural entrepreneurs are legally registered, thus enabling them access to various assistance, grants and financing schemes provided by the government,” he said in his speech.
Along with the implementation of PIBU, the Quality and Competitive Contractor and Entrepreneur Development Course that was launched is seen as especially relevant in facing current economic challenges, particularly in increasing the level of professionalism of local industry players.
The course aims to strengthen knowledge, management skills, financial efficiency and ethical practices among local contractors and entrepreneurs so that they can implement projects more effectively and meet quality standards.
Datuk Dr Penguang also expressed his confidence that PIBU Beluru has the potential to be a catalyst for increasing household income, opening up new job opportunities especially for the youth, as well as producing local entrepreneurs who can elevate Beluru’s name to national and international levels.
Therefore, he called on course participants, entrepreneurs and contractors to take full advantage of the opportunities provided through PIBU Beluru and continue to strive in gaining knowledge and innovating for the purpose of common progress. -UKASnews
