Lawas AOC Complex To Be Handed Over To Sarawak Government Next February, Strengthening Coordination Of Government Services
LAWAS: The Lawas Administrative Office Complex (AOC) is expected to be handed over to the Sarawak Government as early as next February, thus becoming a catalyst for more systematic, integrated and efficient coordination of government services in this district.
This was announced by Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki during a visit to the project site to review the final progress of the complex's completion on Saturday.
Based on a briefing by the Limbang Division Public Works Department (JKR), the construction of the Lawas AOC Complex is currently in its final phase and is being completed according to the set schedule.
During the visit, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar also inspected the office spaces of various government agencies that will be housed in the 15-storey complex.
This centralised placement is expected to strengthen coordination between departments, speed up administrative processes and facilitate the affairs of the people, especially residents in the Lawas district.
The construction of the Lawas AOC Complex reflects the Sarawak Government's continued commitment to strengthening administrative infrastructure in the northern part of the state.
This is in line with current needs, the growth of the public service and the government's aspirations to improve the quality of service delivery to the people.
Also present during the visit were the Member of Parliament for Lawas, Dato Henry Sum Agong, Limbang Division Resident, Yunus Tambi, Lawas District Officer, Ladin Atok, Director of the Public Service Digitalisation Unit of the Sarawak Premier's Department, Datu Grace Huong Siew Hung and Director of the Sarawak Premier's Department's Administration Unit, Rusmaliza Mat Darus.-UKASnews
