KUCHING: Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, received a courtesy visit from the High Commissioner of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Malaysia,Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, at his official residence here on Monday.

The meeting, which lasted about an hour, discussed several strategic sectors, including halal product trade, palm oil exports and potential investment in the renewable energy sector in Sarawak.

In addition, the discussion also included potential cooperation in the rice trade, labour, tourism and culture industries as Sarawak's proactive measures in exploring and expanding the global market.

Also present during the courtesy visit was the Head of Chancery of the Pakistan High Commission Kuala Lumpur, Muhammad Ameer Hassan Butt. -UKASnews
