KUCHING: Sarawak Information Systems Sdn. Bhd. (SAINS) and EarthEye Space Technologies Pte. Ltd. held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Exchange to establish a strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening the use of satellite-based data and Earth observation capabilities in Sarawak.
According to a statement by SAINS, the collaboration provides a framework for joint efforts in satellite imagery processing and analysis, particularly using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and optical satellite imagery to support practical applications across various sectors.
“These initiatives are intended to support better planning and more informed decision-making in areas such as infrastructure development, environmental monitoring, disaster management, urban planning and resource management,” it said on Tuesday.
The MoU was exchanged between SAINS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Busiai Seman and Senior Sales Executive of EarthEye Space Technologies Pte.
