Sarawak Governor Receives Courtesy Call From Council Of Federal Datuks In Malaysia
KUCHING: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar received a courtesy call from a delegation of the Council of Federal Datuks in Malaysia (MDPM) led by its President Datuk Tee Guan Pian, at his official residence here on Thursday.
The visit was aimed at introducing the council’s leadership line-up as well as seeking advice and views from the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak.
The MDPM delegation comprised Datuk Seri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim, Deputy President Datuk Dr Ahmed Tasir Lope Pihie, Secretary-General Datuk Wira Rosli Mat Hassan, Vice-President I Datuk Abdul Razak Dawood, Vice-President II Datuk Mohd Nawawi Awang, EXCO Members Datuk Gnanasambatham Doraisamy and Datuk Jacky Chai Chaun, as well as Datuk Adrian Wei Hua Ung.
The courtesy call also sought to strengthen ties between members of the council and the state’s highest institution.
In addition, discussions covered matters related to unity, social contributions, welfare, and the role of Federal title holders in contributing to community development in Sarawak in line with the national agenda.
Meanwhile, the Sarawak Governor also shared his views that racial unity in Sarawak serves as a commendable example, with people of diverse backgrounds living together in harmony and close-knit relations.
At the same time, he expressed his appreciation to MDPM for its efforts in further strengthening positive relations with Sarawakians. -UKASnews
