ASSAR Expands Access To Investment Services Through Physical & Digital Initiatives
KUCHING: Amanah Saham Sarawak Berhad (ASSAR) is expanding access to investment services to Sarawakians through the implementation of physical and digital initiatives to ensure that service delivery is more accessible to all levels of society.
Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg said that the ASSAR management has implemented several initiatives including collaboration with Service Sarawak to provide ASSAR service counters on certain days at the Urban Transformation Centres (UTC) in Sibu and Miri, as well as the expansion of services to Sarikei.
In addition, he said ASSAR is also taking advantage of the Sarawak Rural Broadband Network (mySRBN) network facilities provided by the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) to operate mobile office services in peripheral and rural areas.
According to him, the initiative is also supported by the cooperation of district offices as well as community and village heads.
“I hope that initiatives like this will continue and expand. We want to see more innovations in the way services are delivered in Sarawak, especially in rural areas, so that it is more inclusive, more people-friendly and more efficient,” he said.
