BETONG: Kabong Assemblyman Dato Mohamad Chee Kadir praised the quality of Rumah Spektra Permata (RSP) Hulu Kabong in Betong, reflecting the Sarawak Government's commitment in providing quality housing to the people.

According to a statement, he also expressed his appreciation to the Sarawak Government, for this affordable housing initiative through the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) that assists the B40 group in owning their own homes.

“RSP Hulu Kabong was developed under the Village Expansion Scheme (SPK) and comprises 50 two-storey housing units measuring 800 square feet each, complete with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a carport.

“This project was built using the Industrialised Building System (IBS) with an efficiency score of 73 per cent.

"At a ceremony, 34 prospective owners received replicas of their house keys,” it said on Monday.

The Hulu Kabong RSP Key Handover Ceremony which took place at the Kabong Police Station Hall on 6 February was also attended by HDC Chairman Abdul Yakub Arbi and HDC Chief Executive Officer Fathi Hambali. -UKASnews
