Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Syeed Aman Ghazali said organising such programmes was among the ongoing initiatives of the SABERKAS Women's Bureau in engaging with the community, particularly the vulnerable groups, in line with the role of SABERKAS as an organisation that prioritises the well-being and welfare of the people.
“A total of 83 clients of Rumah Sri Kenangan Kuching received benefits from this programme.
“Among the contributions presented were daily necessities such as food, personal care items and other basic necessities, with some of them presented symbolically,” she told the media after completing the symbolic handover.
Meanwhile, Datuk Sharifah Hasidah, who is also the SABERKAS Vice President expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to socialise with the residents of Rumah Sri Kenangan while emphasising the importance of human values, concern and compassion for the elderly who require constant attention.
She said that the welfare programmes implemented by the SABERKAS Women's Bureau are carried out consistently and encompass various levels of society regardless of background, including in conjunction with major festivals.
