STIDC Receives Integrity Benchmark Visit By Ministry Of Utility & Telecommunication Sarawak
KUCHING: Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) received an integrity benchmark visit from the Sarawak Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication (MUT) aimed to gain exposure, evaluate and learn from STIDC' best practices in the aspects of integrity management, governance and anti-corruption of the organisation.
This visit provides MUT officers with an in-depth exposure to STIDC's achievements in the Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA), which are used as benchmarks to strengthen the organisation’s integrity system.
The MUT delegation evaluated STIDC's best practices in building a culture of integrity and a strong internal control system.
MUT Head of Management Services Division, Raduan Bujet, said this visit is a strategic initiative to gain knowledge and exposure on the implementation of AIGA.
“The sharing of PUSAKA’s best practices is expected to strengthen the ministry’s understanding and ability to strengthen the integrity of the organisation as a whole,”
he said.
Meanwhile, STIDC Senior Assistant General Manager for Administration, Suraya Mohamad Ali, stressed that integrity must be continuously strengthened through consistent improvements.
“Such knowledge sharing not only strengthens our organisation, but also fosters a collective culture of integrity in the public sector,” she said.
Through this sharing session, both parties have the opportunity to exchange views and experiences in strengthening a culture of integrity, improving management efficiency and strengthening the organisation’s internal control system.
STIDC welcomes this collaborative initiative and hopes that the sharing of best practices can benefit both organizations in their efforts to strengthen governance with integrity and accountability. - UKASnews
