Sarawak Governor & Wife Conclude Official Visit To Lumut
LUMUT: The Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, departed home by special helicopter after concluding a two-day official visit to the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Base Headquarters here on Tuesday.
Also accompanying them were the Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts and Escorting Minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his wife, Datin Sri Zuraini Abdul Jabbar.
Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah are scheduled to depart for Sultan Azlan Shah Airport before continuing their flight to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport using a special aircraft.
Before departing, a Main Honour Guard ceremony was held in honour of the Sarawak Governor.
Throughout the visit, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak and his wife attended several official events organised by RMN in collaboration with Lumut Naval Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. (LUNAS), including the officiation of the Naming and Launching Ceremony of the Littoral Combat Ship 3, Sharif Mashor, marking a crucial step in the effort to strengthen the nation’s maritime defense capabilities. -UKASnews
