UKAS & Tellian Service Centre Strengthen Strategic Collaboration
MUKAH: The ‘Malam Santai UKAS Bersama ADUN Tellian’ programme reflects a continued commitment to reinforcing strategic collaboration between the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the Sarawak Government and grassroots service centres.
According to Tellian Assemblyman Royston Valentine, close collaboration is essential to ensure that government policies, information and initiatives are delivered effectively, clearly and comprehensively to the rakyat.
“This collaboration aligns with Sarawak’s aspiration for inclusive and holistic development, where government information reaches the people accurately and based on facts,” he said when speaking at the event held here, on Tuesday.
He also emphasised the important role of UKAS as the state government’s official communication arm in disseminating information, particularly on ongoing initiatives and current development updates in Sarawak.
Meanwhile, UKAS Director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan said the programme was organised to appreciate the close working relationship between UKAS and elected representatives in advancing various government communication efforts.
“This programme reflects the synergy between the government’s communication agency and elected representatives in enhancing information dissemination and policy implementation for the wellbeing of the local community,” he said.
Also present were UKAS Special Administrative Officer Datu Takun Sunggah, UKAS Deputy Director Mohamed Faizal Shah Ali, UKAS Principal Assistant Director Anwar Hanafi Ardimansyah and Mukah Division UKAS Officer Hafizzul Abdul Halim. -UKASnews
