Goodwill Visit Strengthens Unity, Mulu Assemblyman Visits Community In Marudi
MARUDI: Celebrations celebrated together are an important platform in strengthening community unity and fostering a spirit of mutual respect that has been the foundation of Sarawak's strength for a long time.
This was mentioned by Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring) Datuk Gerawat Gala when conducting a goodwill visit to several open houses in conjunction with Chinese New Year around the Marudi district on Wednesday.
The Mulu Assemblyman added that such programmes not only strengthen ties among communities, but also serve as a platform to bring leaders closer to the people to understand the needs and aspirations of the local community.
The visit was held to jointly celebrate and enliven the 2026 Chinese New Year celebration, in addition to strengthening relationships between leaders and the local community.
During the visit, he and his entourage had the opportunity to visit the homes of Community Leaders and Tribal Leaders in the Puyut Lubuk Nibung area, in addition to visiting several homes of Association Chairmen in the area. -UKASnews
