KUCHING: The 'Ihsan Ramadan' Programme for the Satok Legislative Assembly (DUN) constituency 2026 successfully reached out to 30 recipients in conjunction with this year’s Ramadan, involving 15 beneficiaries from the Kampung Masjid branch representatives and another 15 from the Bandarsah branch representatives.

The welfare programme was officiated by the Deputy Minister for Utility (Sarawak Energy Berhad and PETROS), Datuk Ibrahim Baki, who emphasised that the 'Jelajah Ramadan' and 'Ihsan Ramadan' programmes are ongoing initiatives aimed at engaging with the people and assisting those in need throughout the Satok constituency.

According to him, such initiatives are not only intended to ease the burden of recipients, but also to strengthen the bond between leaders and the local community, particularly during this blessed month.

At the same time, he encouraged the Muslim community to increase their prayers and seek well-being, forgiveness and blessings throughout Ramadan.

“Ramadan is a month for us to strengthen our ukhuwah, assist those in need and improve ourselves so that we may become a more civil and mutually respectful society,” he said.

The programme reflects the continued commitment of the leadership of N8 Satok to ensuring that the welfare of the people remains a priority, while fostering a spirit of togetherness and social responsibility within the community. -UKASnews
