Sarawak Government Strengthens Education In SK Song Kheng Hai
KUCHING: The Sarawak Government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening education through implementing various infrastructure upgrades in Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Song Kheng Hai.
Its Principal Sylvester Tan Chiang Wei said that the school celebrated its 60th anniversary this year with various improvements made.
“The school environment is cleaner and more orderly, teaching facilities are continuously being upgraded, and the quality of education and teaching is steadily improving.
“Students have achieved commendable results in academic performance, scientific and technological innovation, sports competitions, and cultural activities.
“Many students have distinguished themselves in various competitions, winning honors for the school and adding luster to the school,” he highlighted.
He said this when speaking at the Chinese New Year 2026 Celebration at SK Song Kheng Hai, here on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng expressed gratitude towards the Sarawak Government in its commitment to education through the subsidy of education funds.
He noted that the school is a dual-stream school, offering both Malay and Chinese language classes.
“On this campus, children from different language backgrounds learn and grow together; students of different ethnicities and cultures meet, get to know each other, and respect one another in the same space,” he said. -UKASnews
