Sarawak Premier Engages With Limbang Residents During Walkabout Programme
LIMBANG: The Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, continued his grassroots approach by engaging with the people through a walkabout programme around the Limbang waterfront on Saturday.
The programme, which began as early as 6.30 am, saw the Sarawak Premier and his delegation set off from Purnama Hotel towards the Limbang Museum, taking time along the way to interact warmly with local residents who helped enliven the atmosphere along the riverbank.
Throughout the route, the Premier’s presence was met with a friendly reception from people of all walks of life, reflecting the close rapport between the state leadership and the residents of Limbang.
Following the recreational activity, the Premier and his delegation also spent time having breakfast at Tamu Limbang, while engaging in casual interactions with traders and visitors in the area.
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof, Sarawak Secretary and Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Organising Chairman, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Legal, MA63 and State–Federal Relations), Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Sarawak Deputy Minister for Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, and Deputy Minister of Transport, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah.
Among those in attendance were also Batu Danau Assemblyman, Dato Paulus Gumbang, Sarawak Deputy Secretaries Datu Hii Chang Kee (Operation) and Datu Felicia Tan Ya Hua (Administration), heads of departments, and members of the Limbang District Council. -UKASnews
