Sarawak Governor Receives Courtesy Call From FELDA Chairman
KUCHING: The Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, received a courtesy call from the Chairman of FELDA, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, at the Astana Negeri Sarawak on Monday.
The visit centered on discussions regarding FELDA’s role in supporting the economic stability of settlers, particularly within the context of Sarawak’s regional development.
During the meeting, which lasted nearly an hour, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery expressed his appreciation for Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi’s leadership and commitment to maintaining harmony among Sarawak’s multi-racial society.
He also voiced his admiration for Sarawak’s progress in the green and digital economies, noting that the state has become a model at the national level.
Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery shared information regarding FELDA’s latest programs designed to improve the people's standard of living, aligning with Sarawak's aspirations to reach developed state status.
Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi expressed his hope that cooperation between federal agencies and the Sarawak Government will continue to be strengthened to drive the state’s development agenda forward.
