Aspirasi Sarawakku Sayang Programme in Bintulu Addresses Community Concerns
BINTULU: A total of 350 people, including community leaders, NGO members, and PBB branch members from the Jepak constituency, attended the Aspirasi Sarawakku Sayang Programme at MRSM Bintulu on Saturday.
During the programme, attendees had the opportunity to directly ask speakers about various issues and learn how to address community concerns such as electricity, water supply, communication, and infrastructure, knowing where to report problems for prompt action by relevant agencies and departments.
Jepak Assemblyman, Iskandar Turkee said that this is the advantage of the programmes implemented by the political sectors, as they have high impact whereby information can be conveyed directly, and problems can be addressed immediately.
“This is what we want—both parties working together harmoniously. We see that department heads are very open and transparent regarding development in the Jepak area.
He also extended his heartfelt thanks to the PolSec and the department heads who attended the event, offering informative insights to the people in the Jepak constituency.
“I hope for the continuation of such programmes on different platforms, assessing various issues' relevance and collaborating with PolSec officers to tailor topics that effectively address local community concerns.
“Continuing programs like this will ensure systematic communication, acceptance, and full implementation of government policies, thereby supporting Sarawak's ongoing progress and success in achieving goals set by the Honorable Premier,” he said during his speech at the programme.
Also present during the event were Political Secretary to the Premier, Abdul Samat Gany, Acting District Officer of Bintulu, Suzanna Indiat and others. -UKASnews
