Sarawak Successfully Hosts AGG Carnival 2026 & MAGGA National Series 1
KUCHING: Sarawak hosted the Sarawak Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (AGG) Carnival 2026 and the Malaysian Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Association (MAGGA) National Series 1 at the Sa’ati Hall on 25 to 26 April, drawing around 300 gymnasts and delegates from across the country.
The event, organised by the Sarawak Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Association in collaboration with MAGGA, highlighted both grassroots talent development and national-level competition.
Organisers also recorded strong participation in the individual grading segment, as well as an encouraging increase in entries from Sarawak-based teams in the group categories.
The opening day featured the National AGG Development (NAD) Individual Grading and NAD Group Competition, while activities on the second day centred on the MAGGA National Series 1 NAD Group Competition and the IFAGG (International Rules) Programme Competition.
Sarawak gymnasts delivered an impressive performance, securing first place in the Kinder and Level 2 categories, while also posting strong results in the IFAGG short programme events.
The participation of Malaysia’s Junior Team and Junior Mixed Team further elevated the event as both squads continue preparations for the upcoming IFAGG Asian Championships in Kazakhstan this June. -UKASnews
