LUNDU: Multi-purpose halls provided by the Sarawak Government must be fully utilised to strengthen unity and support community development through various social and community activities.
Opar Assemblyman Billy Sujang noted that such facilities are not merely buildings, but serve as hubs for bringing society together through social, educational, and cultural activities.
"This hall is not just a building, but a place that will unite the community through various activities that benefit all segments of the population," he said.
He said this while speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the Kampung Serayan Baru Multi-Purpose Hall here on Saturday.
Billy hoped that the facility would be fully utilised by all levels of society, including the youth, women, and senior citizens, for the well-being of the local community.
Meanwhile, he also announced plans to upgrade the futsal and volleyball courts in the village to provide more comfortable recreational and sports facilities for the residents, particularly the youth. -UKASnews
