USK Sungai Asap/Koyan Celebrates Aidiladha, Strengthens Community Unity
BELAGA: The Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration organised by the Urusetia Saudara Baru Kita (USK) Sungai Asap/Koyan Branch was held in a lively atmosphere at the Al-Fattah Mosque with the participation of around 100 people comprising locals and USK members.
The programme was officiated by Murum Assemblyman Kennedy Chukpai Ugon, during which a communal sacrificial ritual involving the slaughtering of a cow was carried out together with mosque members.
Kennedy also took the opportunity to mingle with congregants and distribute sacrificial meat to 22 recipients among USK members and the local community, adding to the spirit of this year’s Aidiladha celebration.
In addition, he presented assistance grants amounting to RM20,000 to the USK Sungai Asap/Koyan branch and RM5,000 to the USK Belaga Branch to support the implementation of community programmes and activities.
In his brief address, Kennedy said the Aidiladha celebration not only strengthens religious observance, but also serves as an important platform for fostering unity and togetherness among communities of different backgrounds in rural areas.
