Kampung Keranji Community Hall Upgraded As Activity Centre
LUNDU: The Kampung Keranji Community Hall which has been comprehensively upgraded now serves as a new facility for the local community.
Opar Assemblyman Billy Sujang said the hall not only serves as a gathering place for the community but also stands as a symbol of cooperation, unity and the spirit of togetherness among village residents.
According to him, the hall, which was completed in 2016 and upgraded in 2025 now offers greater comfort following improvement works undertaken to provide enhanced benefits to the local community.
He said this when delivering his speech at the officiating ceremony of the Kampung Keranji Community Hall and the 2026 Pre-Gawai Celebration, held here on Thursday.
Billy further stated that the facility can be utilised for various community-based activities including youth programmes, skills training courses, village meetings and social activities aimed at fostering closer relations among residents.
In a related development, he announced that development initiatives in Kampung Keranji would continue including the proposed upgrading of the village football field to provide improved sporting facilities for residents. -UKASnews
