Qurban Promotes Unity & Community Spirit In Saribas
SARIBAS: The Qurban practice is not merely a fulfilment of religious obligation but also serves as a platform to internalise the values of sacrifice, sincerity and responsibility towards the underprivileged.
The Deputy Minister for Community Wellbeing Development who also serves as the Saribas Assemblyman Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam, said that the spirit instilled through the Qurban ritual should be continuously preserved and practised in community life.
“Through the qurban practice, we not only demonstrate obedience to Allah SWT but also foster stronger community relations through the sharing of sustenance and collective unity.
“The culture of gotong-royong, as observed today, must be continuously cultivated in every village as it forms an important foundation in strengthening unity, facilitating community affair, and building a mutually supportive society,” he said at the Symbolic Qurban Meat Distribution Ceremony in Kampung Serabang on Thursday.
The programme organised by the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Saribas Branch involved the distribution of a total of eight sacrificial animals for Zone 3 in the Saribas State Constituency, covering Kampung Medang, Kampung Supa, Kampung Tuie and Kampung Serabang.
