KUCHING: Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, together with the entire Sarawak Civil Service, has extended condolences to the family of the late Patrick Engkasan Entabar @ Digat, who passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the age of 79.

The late Patrick was a former Resident of Sri Aman Division. He previously served as Resident of Sibu from 1997 until February 2000 before being appointed Resident of Sri Aman from March 2000 until November 2002.

He subsequently concluded his public service career upon reaching mandatory retirement on November 30, 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Iyus William Rade, two sons and three daughters.

Paying of last respects will be held at his residence at No. 454, Lorong B3, Taman Satria Jaya, BDC, Kuching, on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Meanwhile, the funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The cortege is scheduled to depart from his residence at 9.30 am and proceed to St John’s Church, Kampung Taee, Serian, for the funeral rites.

His passing is regarded as a significant loss to the Sarawak Civil Service community. -UKASnews
