PIBKS Guidance Classes Drive Educational Excellence In Dalat
DALAT: The Parent, Community, and Private Sector Involvement (PIBKS) Guidance Class initiative has proven successful in helping to elevate students' academic achievements in Dalat, following encouraging results recorded in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.
Sarawak Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development and Dalat Assemblywoman Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah stated that this success reflects the continuous commitment of all parties to strengthening educational excellence in the district.
She emphasised that the active involvement of parents through the PIBKS platform must continue to be empowered to ensure the continuity of educational excellence in the future.
“This achievement proves that close cooperation between schools, parents, the community, and the private sector is capable of delivering a major impact in improving academic performance as well as shaping student character,” she said.
She said this while attending the Dalat District Education Office (PPD) PIBKS Guidance Class Appreciation Ceremony held at the Dalat Welfare Complex on Wednesday.
She explained that the appreciation ceremony serves as a symbol of recognition for the solid commitment of various quarters in making the programme a success.
In addition, it also serves as a platform to appreciate the dedication of teachers and the support of the local community—including Community Leaders and Village Chiefs (KMKK), Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK), Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA), and relevant stakeholder agencies that played a vital role in ensuring the success of this high-impact programme.
Dato Sri Fatimah also called upon all parties to maintain this spirit of consensus and strengthen strategic cooperation networks to ensure that educational achievements in the Dalat District can be continuously enhanced.
The programme, implemented by the Dalat PPD, involved 12 learning centres with the participation of 115 students and 38 teachers and tutors throughout its duration.
As a result of these integrated efforts, a total of 108 students successfully achieved Certificate Eligibility (LMS) in the 2025 SPM, thereby contributing to Dalat District's overall LMS achievement of 98.43 per cent.
