Sarawak SOEs Urged To Conduct AI Readiness Assessment
KUCHING:Sarawak State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) are urged to conduct artificial intelligence (AI) readiness assessments as a step to accelerate digital transformation, enhance operational efficiency, and improve service delivery to the people.
Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg noted that rapid technological advancements require every organization to be prepared for change, particularly in leveraging AI as a driver for future growth and competitiveness.
“Every SOE must assess its readiness, identify priority use cases, and develop a clear AI roadmap for implementation.
“These findings should then be integrated into their respective transformation plans,” he said.
He said this while speaking at the Sarawak SOEs Transformation Programme: A Pledge for Good Governance, High Performance and Value Creation here on Thursday.
Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari also emphasised that SOEs need to work closely with the Sarawak Artificial Intelligence Centre (SAIC) to build the capacity and support structures required to develop these capabilities.
According to him, Sarawak must be ready to face the fast-evolving wave of global technological change to ensure it does not lag behind in an innovation-based economic competition. — UKASnews
