LAKMNS, LAKIB Sign RM9.825 Million Dividend Repayment Agreement
KUCHING: The Sarawak State Mosque Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS) and the Bintulu Islamic Welfare Trust Board (LAKIB) have signed a dividend repayment agreement totalling RM9.825 million, to be carried out in stages over a period of 10 years.
Through the agreement, the funds to be received by LAKIB are expected to strengthen the organisation's financial standing, while ensuring the continued implementation of welfare programmes and social responsibility initiatives for the community.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Sarawak Premier, who also serves as Chairman of LAKMNS, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Abang Openg, here on Friday.
The symbolic handover of a mock cheque was performed by the Honorary Secretary of LAKMNS, Tan Sri Datuk Amar (Dr) Abdul Aziz Husain, to the Chairman of LAKIB, Iskandar Turkee.
Also present were Sarawak Deputy Premier and Deputy Chairman of LAKMNS, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, the Deputy Chairman of LAKIB, Dato Haidar Khan Asghar Khan, members of the LAKMNS board and the Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS, Datu Abdul Hadi Abdul Kadir.
The ceremony reflects the continued commitment of both institutions in strengthening financial management and ensuring that the welfare and community development agenda can be carried out more sustainably in the future. -UKASnews
