KUCHING: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg received a courtesy visit from the delegation of the Sarawak-Level Gawai Dayak Celebration Main Committee at Satria Pertiwi Complex on Tuesday.

The courtesy call led by Sarawak Deputy Premier and Main Committee Chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas served to invite the Sarawak Premier to attend the celebration which will take place on 20 and 21 June.

Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari will also be the guest of honour for the 'Niti Daun' parade which will take place at the Kuching Waterfront on 20 June.

In addition, the Sarawak Premier will attend the Sarawak-Level Gawai Dinner on 21 June which will be graced by Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar as the guest of honour, and also attended by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Also present during the courtesy visit were Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai, Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development Datuk Majang Renggi, Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Native Laws and Customs) Datuk Jefferson Jamit and Director of the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak Datu Dr Cassidy Morris. -UKASnews
