KUCHING: Hungarian Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr Sandor Sipos, who is currently on a working visit to Sarawak, took the opportunity to visit the Borneo Cultures Museum (BCM) to learn more about the history and culture of Sarawak.
Accompanying him during the visit on Thursday were Hungarian Deputy Head of Mission Kamilla Balla, Honorary Consul of Hungary Dato Damien Chua, as well as other guests.
During the visit, he toured various exhibition galleries showcasing the history, culture and heritage of Sarawak’s communities.
He was particularly fascinated by the collection of artefacts and interactive displays that highlighted the uniqueness of the various ethnic groups that make up the identity of the state.
Besides providing the Hungarian delegation with an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of Sarawak, the visit also served as a platform to strengthen relations and cultural exchanges between both sides.
Earlier in the morning, Dr Sandor paid a courtesy visit on the Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at Astana Negeri Sarawak. -UKASnews
