Outreach Programmes Strengthen Delivery Of Government Assistance To The People
KUCHING: Outreach programmes will continue to be empowered as a platform to expand the dissemination of information regarding various Sarawak Government assistances and initiatives to the people, particularly the less fortunate.
Sarawak Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah said among the programmes to be implemented in the near future are ‘Kamek Prihatin Kitak Penting’ programme for the Mukah Zone as well as the ‘Madrasah Simpulan Kasih’ programme, which focuses on directly reaching out to the community.
“Through the Kamek Prihatin Kitak Penting programme, which is an outreach initiative, we are certain it can touch the hearts of individuals, especially regarding the initiatives provided by the government.
“When we share these with them, we identify those who are truly in need, and God willing, it will transform their lives,” she said.
She said this during a press conference after chairing the Sarawak Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women’s Wing Meeting at the PBB Headquarters here on Friday.
According to Dato Sri Fatimah, among the assistances shared with the community through the programme include aid for kidney patients, assistance for senior citizens, and house upgrading assistance.
She added that the programme also serves as a medium to convey information on various government initiatives, including aid under her ministry as well as the Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS) and other initiatives to ensure that the people are aware of the support systems provided by the government.
