Sarawak Governor Receives Courtesy Visit From Sabah's Chief Inspector Of Projects
KUCHING: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar received a visit from Sabah's Chief Inspector of Projects, Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Salleh Said Keruak, at his official residence here on Friday.
The meeting touched on, among other things, the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and the position and interests of Sabah and Sarawak within the Federation of Malaysia.
Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Salleh, who is also a former Chief Minister of Sabah, expressed appreciation for Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi's contributions while he headed the Minister's portfolio at the Prime Minister's Department (Parliament and Law), particularly in strengthening the position of MA63 through the amendment of the Federal Constitution in 2021.
He said the amendment was a significant achievement in reinforcing the position and interests of Sabah and Sarawak in line with the spirit and foundation of Malaysia's formation.
Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi also expressed his appreciation for the visit and for the exchange of views and experiences that took place.
The meeting reflected the importance of continuing to understand and strengthen efforts relating to the history, position and aspirations of Sabah and Sarawak within the Federation of Malaysia.
Also present was the wife of the Sarawak Governor, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi. -UKASnews
