Limbang Infrastructure Projects Implemented Based On Priority, People's Needs
LIMBANG: Infrastructure projects in Limbang are being implemented based on priority to ensure planned development meets the needs of the people, particularly in improving basic amenities, enhancing connectivity and stimulating the socioeconomic growth of local residents.
Deputy Minister of Transport Malaysia and Limbang Member of Parliament Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said careful planning involving cooperation between the State and Federal Governments is crucial to ensure infrastructure projects are carried out smoothly.
"A project must go through several processes, starting from the study and design stage, followed by the tender process before implementation," he said when speaking at the Leaders with the People Programme: MRP Grant Presentation Ceremony here on Sunday.
Hasbi said systematic planning and coordination are important to ensure smooth project implementation, more effective use of resources and that the benefits of development can be enjoyed by local residents.
He added that current economic conditions also affect project implementation, as projects that have yet to be tendered must be deferred to give priority to those already being carried out.
He said among the approved projects are the Kubong Ulu Pandaruan road, which costs hundreds of millions of ringgit, and the Limpaku Pinang road, which is still under construction.
At the event, 110 recipients received MRP grants involving Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) and branches of the Sarawak Women's Association (PPWS) in Limbang district, with a total of RM371,000 in grants.
Also present were Limbang Assistant District Officer Mariati Samat, Penghulu Franky Isak and PPWS Limbang District chairman Dayang Suridah Mohd Superi. -UKASnews
