KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) received the Gold Class 1 Award for A Very Good OSH Performance in 2024 at the Malaysia Society for Occupational Safety & Health (MSOSH) Awards ceremony, held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on Monday.
This recognition acknowledges DBKU's ongoing commitment to implementing excellent Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards in the workplace.
It also reflects the organisation's effort to provide a safer, healthier, and more productive working environment for all its personnel.
This achievement serves as motivation for DBKU to continuously strengthen its safe working culture, boost OSH awareness, and expand the implementation of safety and health initiatives across all departmental levels.
Since its introduction in 1982, the MSOSH Awards have been the premier national platform for recognising organisations that demonstrate excellence in occupational safety and health management in Malaysia.
In a statement, DBKU affirmed its commitment to maintaining this level of excellence in every aspect of its operations, in line with its vision of making Kuching a beautiful, safe, and prosperous city.
Also present to receive the award were the Deputy Director of DBKU's Corporate Services Department, Kartini Bushra, Head of DBKU Infrastructure Maintenance Division, Ir. Zaidi Pathi, Head of Administration Division, Peter Martin, Acting Head of DBKU Environmental Health Division, Khairulnizam Abdul Rani, and Assistant Environmental Health Officer cum DBKU OSH Officer, Mastura Iskandar.
