RTP Road Upgrading Projects In Kota Sentosa Highlights People-Centric Development
KUCHING: Kota Sentosa Assemblyman Wilfred Yap carried out final inspections on two completed Road Upgrading Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) in his constituency, reaffirming the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) led Sarawak Government’s commitment to people-centric infrastructure development that directly benefits local communities.
The first RTP Road Upgrading Project was located at Lorong 8, Jalan Semaba, where he and officers from Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) conducted a final inspection following the completion of the project involving a total allocation of RM30,000.
The completed works have significantly improved the road surface condition, enhanced safety, and ensured smoother daily access for residents living along Lorong 8, Jalan Semaba.
Wilfred stressed that small-scale, targeted upgrades such as this play a crucial role in addressing real grassroots needs and improving overall quality of life.
Another final inspection was conducted separately at the second RTP Road Upgrading Project in Kampung Temedak following its full completion with a total project cost of RM40,000.
The Kota Sentosa Assemblyman expressed satisfaction with the quality of the completed works, noting that the upgraded road will enhance safety and improve accessibility for Kampung Temedak residents.
He also extended his appreciation to the local community for their cooperation and continuous feedback throughout the implementation period.
Meanwhile, Wilfred reiterated that the GPS Sarawak Government remains firmly committed to implementing people-centric infrastructure projects that respond directly to community needs.
“I will continue to work closely with MPP to ensure that all approved projects in Kota Sentosa are implemented efficiently, completed on schedule, and meet the required quality standards,” he said. -UKASnews
