Sarawak Governor & Wife Enliven Sarawak DUN Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri
KUCHING: The Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, enlivened the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri event which was held in a warm atmosphere and spirit of togetherness.
Their arrival at around 11.30 am was welcomed by Sarawak DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar and Sarawak DUN Deputy Speaker Dato Idris Buang.
The event, which took place at the Sarawak DUN Atrium on Wednesday, brought together the state’s leadership including Sarawak Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Also present were Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai, Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi, Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Deputy Ministers, Assemblymen, Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Administration) Datu Felicia Tan Ya Hua and heads of departments.
As a symbol of compassion and in the spirit of sharing blessings in conjunction with Aidilfitri, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah also witnessed the handover of a fund contribution of RM10,000 by Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia to the Sarawak Orphans Welfare Board (PERYATIM).
The organisation of such an event not only strengthens the bonds of rapport among the leadership and civil servants, but also reflects the values of unity and harmony which form the cornerstone of Sarawak’s development. -UKASnews
