UKAS Strengthens Digital Literacy Through Customer Day Programme
KUCHING: The Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) continues to intensify efforts to empower the digital literacy of the people through the organisation of the Customer Day Programme held at the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) Auditorium on Saturday.
The programme involved Community Leaders and Village Chiefs (KMKK) from around Kuching, with a focus on providing exposure and guidance regarding the use of Sarawak Government digital applications.
Among the applications highlighted were Sarawak Pass and the TALIKHIDMAT Mobile Apps, covering aspects of downloading, registration, and usage methods to facilitate access to government services online.
This initiative is in line with the digitalisation agenda introduced by the Premier of Sarawak to strengthen service delivery to the people in a more capable and efficient manner.
The programme is a collaboration between UKAS, the Sarawak Civil Service Digitalisation Unit (SCSDU), and Sarawak Information System Sdn. Bhd. (SAINS).
The event was officiated by UKAS Director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan.
Also present were DBKU Deputy Director of the Financial Services Department Abang Iskandar Bolhassan, Sarawak Service Supervisor for Kuching Division Leonardo Anthony, and a representative from the TALIKHIDMAT Call Centre, Norhayati. — UKASnews
