Bintulu Division Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Brings People Closer To Sarawak Government Initiatives & Services
BINTULU: The Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 Programme continues to serve as an important medium in strengthening ties between the Sarawak Government and the people, with Bintulu Division selected as the third host location for the programme which will take place at the Old Bintulu Airport site from 22 to 24 May.
The programme, organised by the Sarawak Government, provides local communities with the opportunity to obtain first-hand information on various government initiatives from participating departments and agencies.
Among them is the Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS) which was introduced in 2025.
Through the implementation of SKAS 2026, eligible households will receive RM1,100 in assistance, senior citizens RM600, while single individuals will receive RM375.
The distribution of aid will be carried out digitally through the S Pay Global platform and is expected to benefit nearly 900,000 recipients throughout Sarawak.
Apart from obtaining information on SKAS 2026, visitors will also have the opportunity to access various government services and self-development opportunities through the Sarawak Pavilion which brings together multiple agencies and organisations under one roof.
Among the main highlights are briefings on the Sarawak Free Tertiary Education Scheme (FTES), career opportunities through JobSarawak as well as consultation sessions with participating government agencies and companies from the oil and gas, energy, industrial, plantation and financial sectors.
The programme also provides various healthcare services such as health screenings, fitness screenings, health exhibitions and influenza vaccinations specifically for senior citizens.
All services are provided free of charge to increase public awareness on healthcare and wellbeing.
Throughout the three-day programme, various engaging activities will also be held including community games, e-sports competitions, cultural performances and the Konsert Rakyat, suitable for all segments of society.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch the live telecast of the Malaysia Cup final between Kuching City FC and Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C. at the Main Tent.
The SKS 2026 Bintulu Division opening ceremony will be officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg on 23 May at 10.30 am at the Main Tent, Bintulu Old Airport site.
Also expected to attend are Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof, Sarawak Deputy Premiers as well as Sarawak and Federal Ministers.
The public, especially residents of Bintulu Division and its surrounding areas are invited to attend to take advantage of the various facilities, services and activities provided throughout the programme.
