RM50,000 Allocated To Empower Engkilili Grassroots Leadership
ENGKILILI: The Engkilili Community Leaders Association received an allocation injection of RM50,000 as a sign of support towards efforts to empower community leadership institutions at the grassroots level.
Federal Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture and Member of Parliament for Bintulu, Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, said the allocation aims to assist in the implementation of various community activities and strengthen the role of community leaders in supporting local community development.
“The allocation is also expected to assist in the implementation of community development programmes that directly benefit the residents in the Engkilili area,” he said.
He said this while officiating the Gawai Dayak 2026 Merarau Ceremony at the Dr Johnicol Rayong Ngipa Hall, Skrang Scheme here on Sunday.
