Rapid Development In Sri Aman Proof Of Sarawak Government's Commitment To Improving People's Wellbeing
SIMANGGANG: The various development projects carried out in Sri Aman Division, particularly in Bandar Simanggang, demonstrate the Sarawak Government's continued commitment to improving the standard of living and wellbeing of the people.
Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development and Simanggang Assemblyman, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, said the significant changes seen in the area were the result of ongoing efforts by government representatives in bringing various development projects for the benefit of the community.
He said claims that no development has taken place in Sri Aman are baseless, given that various public amenities have been successfully realised for the benefit of the people.
"To claim there is no development process in the Sri Aman area is baseless, considering various facilities have already been built by the government for the people here, such as a new hospital, a riverside park, a cable bridge and many more.
"All this is the result of efforts by Sarawak Government representatives to create wellbeing for the people, yet there are certain parties trying to belittle these development efforts in order to promote themselves and pursue their own agendas," he said.
He said this when officiating the Majlis Ngiling Tikai Gawai Dayak at Rumah Robert Suyong, Kampung Nanga Pruan, here on Thursday.
Datuk Francis said the development carried out not only provides better physical infrastructure facilities, but also opens up job opportunities and boosts local economic growth.
He said that with the continuous implementation of development projects, Sri Aman has the potential to emerge as one of the important destinations in Sarawak capable of attracting investment and spurring local economic development.
In this regard, he called on the people to continue supporting the government's development agenda to ensure that every planned project can be implemented and fully benefit the community.
At the event, Datuk Francis also announced an allocation of RM5,000 under the Minor Rural Project (MRP) to the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Nanga Pruan for the purchase of ready-made fittings.
The Majlis Ngiling Tikai Gawai Dayak was organised by JKKK Nanga Pruan in collaboration with the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) Lingga Branch and the Simanggang ADUN Service Centre, aimed at strengthening ties of friendship among the village's residents. -UKASnews
