Almost 20,000 Visitors Enliven Jom Heboh Segulai Sejalai Sarawak Concert In Kota Samarahan
KOTA SAMARAHAN: The climax of the Jom Heboh Segulai Sejalai Sarawak Concert in Kota Samarahan recorded an extraordinary response when almost 20,000 visitors gathered on the grounds of the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS), making this concert among the most vibrant events held in Kota Samarahan.
Early in the evening, visitors from Kota Samarahan, Kuching, Serian and the surrounding areas began to fill the venue to participate in the various activities provided before the highlight of the stage performance in the evening.
The concert was also witnessed by Sarawak Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, together with the Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kota Samarahan Member of Parliament Datuk Rubiah Wang.
Also present were Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, Samarahan Division Resident Mohamad Irwan Bahari Bujang, MPKS Chairman Abang Ismawi Abang Ali, Samarahan District Officer Ahmad Abdul Razak and Jom Heboh Carnival Project Director Eileen Lim.
A line-up of popular national artists entertained the thousands of spectators with energetic performances throughout the concert.
The performance kicked off with the group K.O.I through the songs Tiwikarma and Meta Dermaga, followed by Wany Hasrita who sang Lembayung Tari, Canggung and Menahan Rindu.
The atmosphere gathered pace when Syamel performed the song Lebih Sempurna and Kau Pun Sama, before Marsha Milan amazed the audience with the song Lagu Cinta.
The concert was then brought to a rousing close with an energetic performance from Baby Shima through the songs Bujang Sarawak and Cari Jodoh, inviting thunderous applause and singing from the audience.
The extraordinary reception of the concert reflected that the organisation of the Jom Heboh Segulai Sejalai Sarawak Kota Samarahan continues to have a place among the community, in addition to strengthening the position of Kota Samarahan as a location for holding large-scale events.
The programme also served as a platform to strengthen friendships among the community through entertainment, culture and family-friendly content, in line with efforts to empower the creative industry and expand the organisation of high-impact programmes in Sarawak. -UKASnews
