SARIKEI: The Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 Programme in the Sarikei Division targets an attendance of 30,000 visitors from 8 to 9 August, which is expected to become one of the main focal points for the programme's tour series this year.
Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Operations), Datu Hii Chang Kee, stated that the target was set based on the encouraging response to the hosting of SKS in several previous divisions.
According to him, the organisers expect an attendance of around 5,000 visitors daily, which is anticipated to surge on the event's peak day.
“Looking at the response received in previous locations, we are confident that the set target can be achieved. Therefore, we welcome the presence of the community from Sarikei as well as neighboring divisions to come together and enliven SKS 2026,” he said.
He said this during a press conference following the Final Coordination Meeting for the Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme Sarikei Division at the Sarikei Sports Complex on Monday.
In addition, he said the organisers have also prepared 82 lucky draw prizes to be won throughout the three days of the programme.
He noted that the lucky draw offers a grand prize of a 916 gold bracelet valued at RM15,000, alongside several other exciting prizes provided for lucky visitors throughout the program.
He added that visitors only need to complete their registration via the E-Contest by filling in the required information and answering a few questions related to the program to automatically qualify for the lucky draw.
He further mentioned that lucky draws will be held daily starting at 4PM, while the grand prize winner will be announced on 9 August in conjunction with the official closing ceremony of SKS 2026 Sarikei Division. — UKASnews
