Preparations For Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme In Betong Stepped Up
BETONG: Preparations for the Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme (Central Zone) in Betong Division are being stepped up through the second meeting of the Betong Divisional Committee for the Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme (Central Zone), held at the Kenyalang Meeting Room, Betong Resident’s Office, on Saturday.
The meeting was chaired by Sarawak Deputy Premier and Bukit Saban Assemblyman, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
Also present were Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Sarawak and Saribas Assemblyman, Datuk Dr Mohammad Razi Sitam, and Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Operation) and Chairman of the Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme (Central Zone) Committee, Datu Hii Chang Kee.
The meeting discussed the latest status of various activities to be carried out throughout the Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme in Betong Division, scheduled to take place from Sept 25 to 27.
Among the matters discussed were outstanding issues and coordination measures needed to ensure the smooth implementation of the programme.
The meeting also agreed that the programme would proceed as planned unless a serious situation requiring a change in the decision arose, including a state of emergency.
In addition, changes to the programme and activity schedule were discussed to ensure all stakeholders were informed and the schedule could be adjusted accordingly.
Earlier, Datuk Dr Mohammad Razi and Datu Hii conducted a preliminary inspection of the Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme site at the Betong Sports Complex.
The visit was aimed at monitoring preparations at the site for activities to be carried out throughout the programme, ensuring that all preparations were at an appropriate level and that the programme would run smoothly when it takes place.
Also present were Betong Resident, Datu Richard Michael Abunawas, as well as heads of relevant departments and agencies. -UKASnews
