IACPP To Launch Grow Pickleball Miri Community Workshop Series On Nov 7
MIRI: The International Academy of Certified Pickleball Professionals (IACPP) will officially launch the Grow Pickleball Miri Community Workshop Series on Saturday, 7 November 2026, at Pika!ball Sentral, Taman Tunku.
Supported and endorsed by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak alongside state pickleball associations, the inaugural workshop aims to establish an integrated ecosystem framework uniting players, certified coaches, venue operators, and sports bodies.
IACPP founder Farrell Choo highlighted that the initiative builds upon a growing base of over 80 certified Level 1 coaches.
"Our Level 1 programme has trained more than 80 coaches to date. This workshop series connects those coaches with the community, students and venue operators, so the sport grows as one ecosystem," said Farrell.
The workshop series is designed to deliver both social and economic benefits. Socially, pickleball provides an accessible sport that encourages individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds to engage in active lifestyles while giving students a structured physical activity.
Economically, rising participation generates direct local demand for coaching services, court bookings, equipment, and events, fostering income opportunities for local businesses and venues in Miri.
IACPP intends for the Miri workshop series to serve as a scalable model that can eventually be extended to other divisions across Sarawak and throughout Malaysia.
Interested participants can register for the free community workshop before the closing date on 31 October 2026 by visiting the official registration portal at www.iacpp.com/free-workshop.
Headquartered in Miri, Sarawak, IACPP operates as an HRD Corp registered training provider dedicated to professionalizing coaching standards and developing sustainable pickleball frameworks nationwide. - UKASnews
