New PIBU In Subis Scheduled To Begin Operations Next Year
KUCHING: A new Entrepreneur Incubation and Guidance Centre (PIBU) in Subis has been approved and is scheduled to begin operations next year to expand support facilities for Bumiputera entrepreneurs in Sarawak.
Sarawak Deputy Premier and Second Minister for Finance and New Economy Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said there are currently 25 PIBUs operating throughout the state, with a total participation of 5,953 entrepreneurs.
He said the centres provide business premises at affordable rates, shared facilities and structured guidance to help entrepreneurs expand their businesses and build sustainable enterprises.
“The government will continue its efforts to provide business premises at affordable rates, shared facilities and structured guidance to help Bumiputera entrepreneurs grow into sustainable enterprises,” he said.
He said this during his ministerial winding-up session at the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Sitting on Wednesday.
He said the addition of the centre in Subis was expected to broaden access to business incubation facilities and guidance for entrepreneurs who require support to develop their operations.
PIBUs are among the entrepreneurial development initiatives implemented by the Sarawak Government to help Bumiputera entrepreneurs strengthen their business capabilities and move towards more sustainable growth. -UKASnews
