Miri City Health Clinic Secures Four-Year MSQH Accreditation
MIRI: Miri City Health Clinic (KKBM) has become the first health clinic in Sarawak to receive four-year accreditation from the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), recognising the quality standards of services provided by the facility.
Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin said the achievement was particularly commendable given that KKBM was a relatively new healthcare facility, having been in operation for only about three years.
He was speaking at the Miri City Health Clinic 2026 Annual Dinner and Celebration of MSQH Accreditation here on Sunday.
He said the achievement demonstrated that the age of an organisation was not a barrier to excellence, which instead depended on good leadership, strong commitment and teamwork.
He also congratulated the entire KKBM team, including its management, medical officers, nurses, healthcare personnel, laboratory and pharmacy staff, administrative personnel and support staff, for their contributions towards securing the recognition.
Dato Sri Lee expressed hope that the accreditation would serve as a catalyst for KKBM to continuously maintain high service standards, prioritise patient safety and become a benchmark for other healthcare facilities in Sarawak. -UKASnews
