Tengku Ampuan Pahang Concludes Official Visit To Kuching
KUCHING: The departure of Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj marked the conclusion of Her Majesty's four-day official visit to Kuching which took place in a setting rich with ceremonial tradition.
Her Majesty's arrival alongside her daughter, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah ‘Athiyatullah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at approximately 9 a.m. at the VIP Terminal of Kuching International Airport (KIA) was received by Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Snowdan Lawan together with his wife, Datin Melinda Claudia, and other dignitaries.
Their Royal Highnesses departed for Kuala Lumpur International Airport at approximately 10.15 a.m.
Last Sunday, Her Majesty graciously attended the Launch Ceremony of Sense of Malaysia at the KIA where she viewed the unique range of Sarawak artisan products on display.
Her Majesty then proceeded to the Borneo Cultures Museum to grace the Launch Ceremony of the Borneo International Textile Festival (BITF) Expo 2025, before continuing the evening with the launch of BITF 2025 at the Pullman Hotel Kuching.
Her Majesty's visit continued on Monday when she graced the BITF 2025 Seminar, before paying a visit to the Juma’ani Pavilion in conjunction with the third anniversary of the Borneo fashion hub, where she observed sewing demonstrations and the traditional songket weaving process, thus completing the series of official engagements during her visit to Kuching. -UKASnews
