KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi enlivened the 2026 Aidilfitri Reception event which was held at a prominent hotel here on Tuesday.

The event, which began at 7.30 pm, was also attended by Chief Justice Datuk Seri Utama Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh and Communications Minister Datuk Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil.

Also attending the event were national corporate figures such as Tan Sri Bustari Yusuf, Tan Sri Datuk Wira Azman Mokhtar and Dato Mohamed Nizam Tun Abdul Razak.

In addition, the event was also attended by representatives of Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi's extended family from Persatuan Rabithah Alawiyah Malaysia and Pertubuhan Ahlulbait Benyahya Malaysia as well as representatives from various agencies such as the Sarawak Liaison Office Kuala Lumpur, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka and UNIRAZAK.

Meanwhile, Senior Private Secretary to the Sarawak Governor Dato Sri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie in his welcoming speech expressed gratitude towards Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah for attending the ceremony despite their busy schedule.

He also expressed his appreciation in welcoming the presence of more than 450 invited guests who came from various backgrounds and states such as Perak, Terengganu and Penang.

At the event, the Sarawak Governor his wife also presented Raya packets as a symbolic token of appreciation to children and the attendees. -UKASnews
