Sacrifice Of Healthcare Workers Forms Backbone Of National Healthcare System
SARIKEI: The sacrifice and dedication of healthcare workers continue to serve as the foundation of the national healthcare system’s strength, as they stand at the frontline in efforts to save the lives of the people across various challenging situations.
Deputy Minister of Plantations and Commodities and Member of Parliament for Sarikei, Dato’ Sri Huang Tiong Sii, noted that hospital staff are regarded as the backbone of healthcare service delivery that is of high quality, integrity, and rooted in humanitarian value.
According to him, healthcare workers do not merely carry out professional responsibilities; they also play a vital role in ensuring the safety and continuity of treatment for the community when facing critical situations.
“Their presence as the frontline is a manifestation of leadership through service,” he said while officiating the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Sarikei Hospital here on Saturday.
Dato’ Sri Huang, who is also Repok Assemblyman, said the health sector remains a primary pillar in guaranteeing the wellbeing of the people and the nation's social stability.
In this regard, he emphasised that appreciation for healthcare workers must be translated into continuous action to strengthen the healthcare system and improve facilities and work environments to be more conducive.
He further added that the contributions of healthcare personnel will remain etched as a significant part of the nation’s developmental history, particularly in navigating major challenges that demand high commitment and sacrifice. — UKASnews
