Unity The Backbone Of Sarawak Civil Service's Strength
KUCHING: The spirit of unity, harmony, and mutual respect among civil servants of various races and backgrounds continues to be the backbone of the Sarawak Civil Service's strength in delivering the best services to the people.
Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki underscored the Hari Gawai Dayak celebration's role as an important platform to embrace the value of unity, which forms the foundation of the Sarawak Civil Service's success.
“We in the Sarawak Civil Service also comprise various races, religions, and backgrounds.
“Therefore, this Hari Gawai Dayak celebration becomes an important platform for us to realize that the backbone of the civil service's strength lies in the spirit of unity, harmony, and mutual respect for one another,” he said in his 2026 Hari Gawai Dayak Message.
Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar added that the unity existing within the Sarawak Civil Service has formed a solid institution capable of moving as one team to provide the best services to the people and successfully implement various development initiatives of the Sarawak Government.
In the meantime, he noted that the theme of this year's Hari Gawai Dayak celebration, 'Segulai Sejalai Nuju Pemansang' (Together in Unity Towards Progress), is highly relevant in facing current challenges that are becoming increasingly complex, particularly in the rapidly growing digital technology era.
According to him, the harmony and unity enjoyed by Sarawakians must continue to be preserved to ensure the state remains peaceful, stable, and prosperous. — UKASnews
